Obituary of Richard A Piskun

Richard A. Piskun, a longtime resident of Marlboro NY passed away at the age of 80 on July 4th.. He was the son of the late Alexander Piskun and Josephine (Kissel) Piskun. Richard graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and was a retired System Analyst with IBM. He also previously served as a trustee on the Marlboro Free Library board, and coached his sons through many Marlboro youth basketball and little league games. All of his accomplishments came despite polio causing him to be a paraplegic since the age of 3, he never let his physical disability stand in his way. Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years Joan (Molenaar) Piskun, his three sons; Michael and his wife Kirstin of Clifton Park NY, Scott and his wife Carolyn of Wayne PA, Jeff and his wife Stephanie of Coconut Creek FL. along with 6 grandchildren (Julia, Rachael, Katie, Camryn, Max, Mason). Richard is also survived by his brother Michael (Lillian) and many nephews and nieces. Richard was predeceased by his sister Helena. Richard was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending his time with the entire family. He was also a huge fan of Walt Disney World, which was often a gathering place for the many "Piskun Family" vacations that were enjoyed over the years. Family and friends will remember him for his ever-present kindness to all he encountered. Services will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to the DiDonato Funeral Service, Inc.
