Wanda M. Mead of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at The Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. She was 87 years old. Wanda was born in Ocoee, Florida on October 9, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Herschel and Louise Horton who predeceased her in 1989 & 1990. Wanda was a farm girl, growing up she worked on the family farm Triple HHH. She also worked in the pocketbook factory in Newburgh and ended her career as a Supervisor/Key Punch Operator at Star Expansion Electronic Tabulating and Adirondack Data Services. She is survived by her daughters; Wanda Bertrand of Poughkeepsie and Glenda Feola and husband Michael of Highland, her brother Edward Horton and wife Margaret of Milton, her grandchildren; Ondrea Lynn of New Paltz, Dana McCarthy and husband Edwin of Grahamsville, Dylan Feola and Liza Feola both of Highland, Chandra Reyes of NC and Jason Mead of Highland, great grandchildren; Noa Franco of Poughkeepsie, Zen Coutrupe of New Paltz, Sage Fiore-Yansick, Raegan and Miles McCarthy all of Grahamsville, nieces and nephews; Susan Horton and husband Manny Drivas of Milton, Michele Corrado and husband John of Marlboro, Ashley Horton of Rock Hill, great nieces and nephews; Max, Lillie and Jack Drivas of Milton, Caleb, Seth and Charlotte Corrado of Marlboro, Nazareth and Leila Henry of Rock Hill. Wanda was a loving, nurturing, protective Mother. Her hobbies were bowling, sewing and upholstery work. Mostly she loved, lived for her family as her parents before her. There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will take place at The Milton Methodist Church, 112 Church Street, Milton, NY on Saturday, November 13th at 10am to which family and friends are invited.
