Obituary of Frank Joseph Biasini

Frank Joseph Biasini of Newburgh, NY passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was 93. Frank was born in Stamford, CT on October 22, 1927. He was the son of the late Joseph Biasini and Theresa Valenti Biasini. Frank was a United States Navy Veteran serving from 1950-1954. Upon graduating from Marlboro High School 1947, Frank graduated Delhi College in 1949 with an Associate Degree in Engineering. At Delhi he was named Senior Athlete of the Year. Frank was a Supervisor for the local Carpenter Union. He was a Catholic War Veteran, a member of the V.F.W. 1161, Newburgh, a member of Our Lady of Fatima group, and a 30 year Eucharistic Minister for Our Lady of Mercy Church, Roseton. Frank' s career achievements in the construction field include Aquinas and Guzman Hall at Mount St Mary College, Macys Colonie Mall, Gimbels on 87th Street, NYC, Putnam Community hospital, St Anns Church in Garden City NY, SUNY Purchase, and Downstate Correctional Facility just to name a few. Frank officiated basketball for 30 years in the Orange County Baskeball Officials Association. Survivors include his wife Kathryn Geri Biasini at home, his son Frank J. Biasini, Jr. of Newburgh, his daughters; Kathy Ann Morhous and husband Steven of Milton, Teresa Green and husband Bruce of Marlboro, MaryAnne Lostaglio and fiancé James Jellema of Newburgh, his sister, Albina (Beanie) Giglia and husband Joseph of Marlboro, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his brother Peter J. Biasini and his sister Lena M. Zullo. Frank's favorite things were his family, his faith, his vegetable and fruit garden, and sports. He touched the lives of many, and helped family and friends when he could. Frank was an avid Met fan, and a loyal enthusiast of his almamater the Marlboro Dukes. He would often attend sporting events just to witness a good competition. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. A. Hadid for his 15 years of caring for Frank. Memorial Contributions can be made in Frank's name to the American Heart Association. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at The DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday morning at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Roseton with Reverend Thomas K. Dicks officiating.
