Obituary of Earlie D. Ewing

Earlie D. Ewing (Bud) passed away on April 15, 2021 at home. He was 83 years old. Earlie was born on October 29, 1937 in Georgiana, Alabama. He is the son of Willie Ted Ewing and Lillie Mae Ross Ewing. When Earlie was younger he moved to Florida where he met his wife, Geraldine Ewing. They traveled to settle in Milton, NY where they raised a family. Earlie was widowed as his wife died in December of 2003. Earlie, was a retired agricultural farmer and worked at Schreiber Orchards in Milton, New York for 46 years. Earlie was a hardworking man until 4 years ago when he was diagnosed with colon cancer. He was a member of Smith Metropolitan A.M.E Zion Church in Poughkeepsie, New York. Earlie served as a member in the Men's Choir and he loved to sing. Earlie was predeceased by his wife Geraldine Ewing and his siblings Ethel Bell Johnson, Willie Bell Ewing, Catherine Ewing, J.D. Ewing, Robert Ewing and Ernest Ewing. Survivors include his two sisters Christine Davis of Bartow,FL, Clydie Troutman of Ft. Valley, GA and his daughters Essie L. Williams of Marlboro, NY, Veronica B. Williams of Marlboro, NY, Geraldine N. Buccieri and her husband Craig F. Buccieri of Walden, NY and Danielle R. Whitehead and her husband Ean A. Whitehead of Marlboro, NY. His Grandchildren include Julisa N. Buccieri of Walden, NY, Whitney M. Ewing of Walden, NY, Elijah N. Williams of Marlboro, NY, Leah A. Whitehead of Marlboro, NY, Ean A. Whitehead Jr. of Marlboro, NY, Aden A. Whitehead of Marlboro, NY and Haylen R. Whitehead of Marlboro, NY. His Nieces and Nephews include Mattie L. Benson of Maywood, IL, Maudie Franks of Georgiana, AL, Wille Lee McCoy Jr. of Detroit, MI, Priscilla Ann Snell of Tampa FL, Tyrone Davis of Bartow, FL, Anthony Butler of Tampa, FL, Robert Earl Butler of Bartow, FL, Gary Johnson of Detroit, MI, Kevin Johnson of Detroit, MI, Omar Johnson of Detroit, MI, Thomas Troutman of IN, Denise Green of GA, Marc Troutman Senior of GA, Matthew Troutman of MI, Michelle Smith of GA, Jaree Reid of Reading, PA, David Howell of Winter Haven, FL, Pamela Harris of Winter Haven, FL, Linda Hickman of Marlboro, NY and many great nieces and nephews. Earlie was a loving husband, dad, uncle and grandfather who loved each and every one of us. He loved to joke around, hunting, gardening, traveling and telling stories of the good ole days. Earlie and his wife Geraldine, always opened their home to everyone with love. Earlie always made sure his family was taken care of and he gave his whole life to make sure his family had everything. Thank you Earlie (Bud), we love you and miss you. Calling hours will be held on: Wednesday from 11 am – 1 pm at The DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro. Funeral services will take place: Wednesday from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in: Cedar Hill Cemetery & Mausoleum, 5468 Route 9W, Newburgh at 2:30 pm.
