Mary L. Iannuzzi passed away peacefully the morning of January 6, 2021 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, with family by her side. She was 89 years old.
Mary was born on December 4, 1931, in Plattekill, NY, to Mary and Joseph Atene. She was the last of six children. In 1959 she married Vincent S. Iannuzzi, and they were together for 61 years, until her death. They resided in Milton, New York, since 1974. In 1972, her daughter, Michele F. Iannuzzi, was born. When Michele was growing up, she and her mom enjoyed sewing, baking, and doing arts and crafts together. In her later years, Mary became fond of quilting and created beautiful hand-made quilts for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family, and her memory will live forever in their hearts.
Mary is survived by her husband, Vincent S. Iannuzzi, her daughter, Michele Iannuzzi Sucich, her son-in-law Edward R. Sucich, and her grandchildren Edward and Vincent Iannuzzi-Sucich, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Joseph Atene and her five sisters, Rose, Dominica (Mimi), Lucy, Stella, and Laura.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be a private funeral at St. Mary's Church in Marlboro for immediate family only and no viewing hours.
