My favorite memory of "Aunt" Millie is, one Saturday many years ago Kathy Ronk brought her and Annie to my house for a little Christmas Cheer. I made them each a drink,(Annies on the sweet side :-) ), and of course they were both very silly within minutes.
I turned on some Italian music and they began to sing along, then Lou Monte's Lazy Mary came on and Aunt Millie translated the parts he sang in Italian with them both giggling all the time.
Rest in peace Aunt Millie

Oh Millie, sorry to see you go in such a horrible way. May you be a peace. I will always remember our times as neighbors for most of my life. Boys, I am so sorry for all of you. Mom is now with dad (I think I hear them with their choice words. lol) No more suffering for our beautiful lady. It's just so sad we cannot send you off in the way you deserved. Fly with the angels Millie

I'm sorry to say I didn't know Millie personally but went all the way through the grades at the Marlboro schools with her son Stephen. I'm so sorry she died of the horrible virus. Stephen, I'm sorry you lost your mother this way. Losing a mother is difficult. My heart goes out to you.

Millie was a nice and wonderful person. She was an outstanding people person---she just loved people. The people that she really cared for were her 4 sons. Millie and her husband weren't ramrods. However, they wanted to see that their sons had good lives and made contributions to other people. One outstanding thing that comes to mind is when she gave birth to her son Richard in 1963. I still could hear her yelling at a Marlboro High School football game---" I gave birth to my son Richard and now I'm back rooting for Marlboro." Well, that was Millie. She followed Marlboro High School sports even though her sons graduated high school. She was a huge fan of the Marlboro High School girls team because of her granddaughter Melissa. She followed her granddaughter's basketball career when she played in college. What I have just stated is an example of how she was family-oriented.
