Marilyn Jean Yantz, a longtime Marlboro resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was 68 years old. Marilyn was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on July 21, 1949. She is the daughter of William Martin and the late Catherine Mead Martin.
Marilyn worked for the Marlboro Middle School for 27 years. She was a computer aide and an office secretary before her retirement in 2012. "Mimi" loved spending time with her family, including her beloved neighbors of 40 plus years. She loved to travel with her loving husband and family, and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband Conrad "Connie" Yantz of Marlboro, her father William Martin of Florida,
her sister Sally Mirakian and her husband John of Durham, CT, her daughters; Kelly Lyn Montemorra and her husband Mike of Port Ewen, Katrina Elaine Nason and her husband Martin of Milton, and Korinne Jean Barry and her husband Kevin of Albany and her 6 grandchildren.
Mimi adored her 6 grandchildren; Katelyn & Cameron Montemorra, Samuel & Joseph Saltalamachia and Keagan & Kellan Barry. She is also survived by her sister in law Janice Cotter and her husband John of New Paltz and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Marilyn was predeceased by her mother Catherine "Nama" Martin, her grandson William Thomas Saltalamachia and her sister in law Carol Oakley.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, July 6th from 4pm-8pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 10am at the funeral home.
Cremation will be private.
