Obituary of Margaret Billesimo

Margaret Mary Billesimo, 82, of Saint Augustine, FL, passed away on May 31, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL.

Funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marlboro, NY, on June 8, 2018 at 10AM with Reverend Thomas Dicks officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery & Mausoleum, Route 9W, Newburgh, NY. Visitation will be held at DiDonato Funeral Home on June 7, 2018 at 2 to 4PM and 7 to 9PM.

Margaret Mary Billesimo was born in Hoboken, NJ, to Michele Salvemini and Rose Montorulo Salvemini on March 30, 1936. She went to Marlboro high school and was the Owner/Broker of Margaret Billesimo Real Estate in Marlboro, NY. She was passionate about art from a very early age and that continued throughout her life. She had many awards and her art is prized in collections throughout America and Europe. Margaret believed that her God given artistic works will uplift the life of their owners and their family for generations to come. Margaret was past president of the IBM Art Group in Poughkeepsie, NY and held memberships in the National League of American Pen Women, Saint Augustine Art Association, Jacksonville Water Color Society, Limelight Theater Guild and Saint John's Cultural Council. She was also affiliated with the community of nuns at Mount Saint Mary College, Newburgh, NY.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James Vincent Billesimo of St. Augustine, FL, her son James Michael Billesimo and his wife Caryn of Poughquag, NY, her daughter RoseAnn Norton and her husband Thomas of St. Augustine, FL and their children, Jennette Norton Browning and her husband Keith Browning and their children Jeremy, Diane and Tyler, Emily MacPherson and her husband, Keith MacPherson and Kayla Norton. She has many cousins, nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Michele Salvemini and mother Rose Montorulo Salvemini.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 in Margaret's name.

A memorial service will be held in Saint Augustine, FL at a later date.
