Obituary of Mary Amoroso

Mary Amoroso, age 86, of Marlboro died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital of Newburgh, NY. Mrs. Amoroso was born October 2, 1925 in Marlboro, NY. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Nancy (Dina) Zambito. Mary was a Homemaker. She was a member of A.A.R.P., St. Mary's Church and St. Theresa Society. Mom adored her family and dedicated her life to caring for and worrying about those close to her. She was totally devoted to her grandchildren - rarely missing their many activities, performances, games and events. "Special thanks to Dr. Nicholas Bambino and Drs. Neparidze, Patel and Zach and the staff at Mid Valley Oncology for the special care and kindness they demonstrated during her illness." She is survived by one daughter: Margherita "Margo" & Husband Marcel Badeau of Gorham, MA and one son: Gerardo "Jerry" Amoroso and wife Linda of Marlboro, NY, Grandchildren, Michael, Kaitlin, Joseph & Grace Amoroso, Grandson, Jason Badeau; Granddaughter, Crystal Badeau & Husband Dan Moore; several Nieces & Nephews and her cat Phoenix. She was predeceased by her Husband, Romualdo Amoroso. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, Route 9W, Marlboro on Saturday, January 28th at 10am with Father Edward Bader officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Marlboro Calling hours will be Friday, January 27th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at The DiDonato Funeral Service, Inc, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro, NY.
