Obituary of Mario Pinto

Jan 13, 1929 - Dec. 22, 2011 Mario was born in Brooklyn, NY to Teresa (Giordano) and Franusco Pinto. He was pre-deceased by his brother John and his sister Madeline Pellegrino. Survivors include his brother Vincent and his sister Mary Whittle of Highland and several nieces and nephews. Mario graduated from Brooklyn Tech. and Polytechnic Institute. He worked as an Electrical Engineer at IBM for 35 years, where he was instrumental to the design of the early mainframe computers. Mario was a member of IBM's Quarter Century Club. As a gifted piano player, Mario entertained both family and friends. Throughout his life, Mario had great devotion to the most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. For nearly a quarter of a century, Mario was a parishner at St. Joseph's Novitiate in Round Top, NY, where he assisted at the Traditional Latin Mass offered by the Society of St. Pius V. It was no coincidence that Mario passed away on the feast day of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini (Mother Cabrini), the patron saint of Italian Immigrants who labored tirelessly for the sick and founded many hospitals and orphanages. O God, the Lord of Mercies, grant to the souls of Thy servants and handmaids a place of refreshment, rest and happiness, and the glory of Thy light, through Christ our Lord, Amen. A single ray of faith clearly shows us the insignificance of the world when compared with God. St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. A Traditional Requiem Mass will be offered at St. Joseph's Novitiate at 11am on Tuesday, December 27th to which family and friends are invited. Burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY There will be no public visitation Donations may be made to the following organizations in Mario's honor: Daughters of Mary, St. Joseph's Novitiate, P.O.
