KEITH ARTHUR JOHNSTON, A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF MARLBORO, NEW YORK PEACEFULLY ENTERED INTO REST ON MARCH 23, 2013. MR. JOHNSTON WAS BORN APRIL 30, 1947 IN NEWBURGH, NEW YORK TO THE LATE FRANCIS J. JOHNSTON AND MARIAN BATES JOHNSTON AND IS SURVIVED BY HIS BROTHER BRIAN JOHNSTON AND HIS WIFE SUSAN OF MARLBORO. A NEPHEW MATTHEW JOHNSTON AND HIS WIFE SHELLY OF AMBLER, PA, A NEPHEW KEVIN JOHNSTON AND HIS WIFE BRANDI OF FORT DIX, NEW JERSEY A NIECE BETHANY JOHNSTON OF MARLBORO AS WELL AS GREAT NEPHEWS, COLTON, JACOB AND JOSHUA. HE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY AN UNCLE EDWARD BROWN OF MILTON , NEW YORK COUSINS; SANDRA BROWN WILTSHIRE, GLENN BROWN, ROBERT JOHNSTON, PAMELA JOHNSTON DIMARTINO AND JAMES JOHNSTON AND MANY SECOND COUSINS AND CLOSE FRIENDS. MR JOHNSTON WAS A 1965 GRADUATE OF MARLBORO CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL. HE SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY DURING THE VIET NAM CONFLICT AND IS A VETEREN. AFTER SERVING HIS COUNTRY HE WAS EMPLOYED BY IBM WHERE 26 YEARS LATER HE RETIRED, FOLLOWING HE WORKED FOR THE UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY WEST POINT, NEW YORK. MR. JOHNSTON WAS A MEMBER OF THE CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH, THE MARLBORO HOSE COMPANY, THE VIEBY SUTTON POST OF THE AMERICAN LEGION ALL OF MARLBORO AS WELL AS THE WANAKSINK LAKE CLUB OF ROCK HILL, NEW YORK WHERE HE SPENT HIS WEEKENDS ENJOYING THE LAKE AND RELAXING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. A FAMILY STATEMENT READS "KEITH, LOVED THE LORD, HE LOVED HIS COUNTRY AND HE LOVED HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. HE BROUGHT FUN TO EVERY GATHERING AND ENJOYED HIMSELF THOROUGHLY WITH EVERYONE. HE LOVED TO LAUGH AND DANCE AND REMINISCE. WE WILL MISS HIM DEARLY." A MEMORIAL SERVICE WITH MILITARY HONORS WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, MAY 21, 2013 AT 7:00 PM AT CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH ROUTE 9-W MARLBORO, NEW YORK, FATHER JERRY BROOKS OFFICIATING.
