Stephen D. Sansone of Staatsburg and formerly of Milton, entered into rest on Sunday, July 16, 2017. He was 90 years old. Stephen was born in Manhattan on July 11, 1927. He was the son of the late Samuel & Cinzia "Jean" Oricco Sansone. He married Mary Rendine who predeceased him on May 21, 2013.
Stephen was a United States Army veteran. He was a Barber for over 60 years and the owner of Steve's Barber Shop in Newburgh until his retirement in 2012. Stephen was a devoted Husband and Father. His hobbies were collecting coins, traveling and going to casinos.
Survivors include his daughters; Marie Rosa of Sevierville, TN & Rose Ann and her husband Craig Simpson of Staatsburg, NY, his sister Mary Ann Fillipi of Florida, 2 grandchildren; Tina Rosa of Marlboro and Daniel Rosa and his wife Cassie of Sevierville, TN, 3 great grandchildren; Stephen Rosa of Sevierville, TN, Joseph Scacciaferro of Marlboro & Aleah Rosa of Sevierville, TN and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Sansone, his brother Diego Sansone, his sister Patricia Sansone and son in law Daniel Rosa III.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4pm-8pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro.
A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday morning at 10:30am at St. Mary's-St. James Church, 1209 Route 9W, Marlboro.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
