Gerald T. Cocozza, Sr. of Milton, NY passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home. He was 74 years old. Gerald was born in the Bronx, NY on May 20, 1943. He was the son of the late Genaro & Theresa Pullano Cocozza. He married Elsa Hafner Cocozza.
Gerald was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Town of Marlboro Highway Department before retiring. He was a member of the Milton Engine Company #1, Milton.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Elsa at home, his sons; Anthony Cocozza and Gerald Cocozza & Antoinette, his daughter Lisa Ann Farkas and her husband George, his 6 grandchildren; Frankie Vidal, Madison Farkas, Jared Cocozza, Alex Cocozza, Timothy Cocozza, Daniel Cocozza and his future granddaughter due in March, his 2 cousins; Frank Zeccola and Anthony Zeccola.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro.
A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Wednesday morning at 10:30am at St. Mary's Church, 1209 Route 9W, Marlboro with Father Thomas Dicks officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
